While Kaitlyn was attending the Student Council Conference, I was given time off to stay home and take care of Kaylee. It was absolutely great! Kaylee and I had a great time. One unique thing that happened was Kaylee slept through the night for the first time. I put Kaylee to bed about 9:30 on Sunday evening and she didn’t wake up until 5:30 or so the next morning. At the time, I attributed it to sleeping in our bed. Kaylee always seems to sleep longer when she is in mom and dad’s bed. Now, I think it is simply because she is starting a transition to sleeping longer during the night. She has slept all the way through the night 3 days this week. We are both welcoming this change.
I have to say that staying home and taking care of Kaylee was not piece of cake. It wasn’t so incredibly hard, per se, but the lack of sleep made little tasks much more difficult to do (or at least it became harder to convince myself to do them). I have to say, Kaitlyn is much better at staying at home then I am.
